Current Tasting Room Policies & FAQ’s
If you are looking for Reservations for a later date: Reservations for each week are made available to everyone on our mailing list on the Monday prior to that week (typically they are live by early afternoon). We recommend you join our mailing list to be the first to know when reservations become available.
Please note the following rules due to COVID-19. This list includes answers to many of our most Frequently Asked Questions.
When you reserve, you agree to the following:
- Party size is limited to a maximum of 6 guests and must only include members of the same household.
- Per the County of Ventura’s update on 7/1/20, you may only sit with members of your household.
- To ensure all guests of your reservation are from the same household, all members of the party must arrive in the same car. You may only utilize one parking spot on property per reservation.
- Children must be included in the total headcount.
- Only guests included in the original reservation will be sat at the same table.
- Due to county and state guidelines, we will not accommodate any groups with more than 6 guests.
- We do not serve food.
- New! To enhance your experience, we are proud to partner with Grazing Kitchen Ojai to offer pre-purchase grazing boxes on Saturday’s and Sunday’s only. These assorted boxes include cheese, cured meats, crackers, freshly baked bread, fruits and so, so much more.
- To pre-purchase a grazing box, first make your reservation and then follow directions on the screen after you complete your reservation. If you miss that step, there will be another chance to order your grazing box via a link in your reservation confirmation email.
- Important: There is an order deadline for these boxes, which is 4:30pm on Thursday.
- On weekdays, if you would like something to nosh on with your wine, please plan to bring your own food.
- Any outside alcohol is strictly prohibited on our property.
- Reservations for tables are good for a maximum of 90 minutes. (We have followed this since reopening, but as of 7/1/20, the County of Ventura now requires each table is limited to an hour and a half visit.)
- For this reason, we ask that you please DO NOT order food for delivery; please bring in items such as pizza with you when you arrive.
- Reservations are available starting at the following times (please note start times will fill up and the following times are subject to change based on availability):
- 12:00 pm
- 12:15 pm
- 12:30 pm
- 2:00 pm
- 2:15 pm
- 3:45 pm
- 4:00 pm
- 4:15 pm
- 5:00 pm
- 5:15 pm
- TIP: To search for availability after 2:30pm, we recommend searching for 3:30pm to most easily see available times. Likewise, to search for availability after 4:15pm, we recommend searching for 5:00pm to most easily see available times.
- A credit card is required to complete your reservation online, but there is no fee to reserve.
- Your reservation total when checking out will state $0, but this places a card on file for our servers to safely access without contact. We kindly request one form of payment per table. If you need to change the payment option when you arrive, please consider utilizing our Apple Pay and Google Pay options on our card terminals.
- Please note that your final bill will be based on the total wine purchased during your visit.
- We are offering a wine tasting flight of four (4) wines featuring two (2) white wines and two (2) red wines for $18 plus tax.
- As always, tasting flights our complimentary for wine club members for a maximum of four (4) people.
- Wine is also available by the glass and bottle.
- Per the State of California, all seatings must take place outdoors. This is to ensure there is plenty of air flow.
- Our indoor Tasting Room will only be open for use of the restrooms. Please follow the 6 foot distancing markings on the ground if there is a line for the restroom.
- Sorry, but we cannot take requests for seatings at specific areas of the property.
- Check-in for your reservation will take place at our Front Entrance.
- All members of your party must be present before seating as our host must bring your entire party to the table at one time, per the State of California.
- If you are more than 15 minutes late to your reservation, we do reserve the right to give away your table.
- Our back gate will be locked at all times. The only point of entry and exit will be the front entrance.
- Per the State of California, masks are required at arrival and while you are taken to your table. Once seated, masks can be removed. Please wear a mask if you need to get up to go to the bathroom and when you leave the property.
- Once seated at your table by our host, all guests in the party must remain seated at the assigned table.
- Sorry, but in accordance with guidelines set by the state for dine-in, we will not be offering our lawn games (i.e cornhole, giant Jenga, bocci ball, etc.) at this time. Please consider bringing along your own activities to enjoy at your table, especially if you are bringing your children with you, as roaming the property is prohibited.
- Similarly, we are not able to offer live music at this time. We are aware of the recent announcement allowing live music (with many restrictions), and are working to add this back to our offerings soon. Thank you for your patience.
- We remain dog-friendly, but please note they must stay on leash at all times at your table with you.
- Hand sanitizer stations will be set up at entrances and outside. Please use them.
- If you, or anyone you have come in contact with in the last 2 weeks has COVID-19 symptoms, we ask that you please stay home and do your best to help protect our community.
- If you need to change the time of your reservation or cancel, please email us at info@topawines.com as soon as possible.
- In the event your party no-shows for the reservation, a cancellation fee may apply.
- If you need to make changes to your party size or reservation time, or to cancel your reservation, please email us at info@topawines.com.You cannot make these changes on our website.
